Never forget!
Luke 13:1-5 bad things can happen to us, even worser things than we can imagine at times. Jesus says the worst of what could happen in this world is nothing compared to not repenting and our fate if we don't!
Top ten list of things we forget.
1. Keys, wallet, cell phone?
2. Walk into a room and forget what you came in there for?
3. Forget where you parked?
4. Forget to defrost meat for dinner?
5. Forget a name?
6. Forget a number?
7. Forget what you went to the store for?
8. Forget to pay a bill?
9. Forget to feed your dog?
10. Forget birthday and anniversary?
The Ten Commandments were written down so that we do not forget!
Nehemiah 8:1-12; 2 Kings 22:1-13; Deuteronomy 4:1-21
Idolatry is only making God into some thing that we like or want in our life! Do you love God for who he is or for something we want him to be! We want the blessings and not the judgement. We want love with no punishment or discipline…etc!
Matthew 5:17-18 the Ten Commandments have not gone away! Jesus takes the fulfillment of the law and goes deeper!
1 Peter 2:1-25
Build on the Lord or trip over him! He is an unmovable cornerstone! Its our choice whether we build or stumble!
